Basketball: Joey Kuhl
Coach Kuhl is a dedicated basketball coach with a wealth of experience across various levels of the sport. He began his coaching journey with the Austin Spurs, the G-League affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs, as an intern, video coordinator and assistant coach. This foundational experience allowed him to develop a keen eye for player development and game strategy, contributing to the growth of numerous athletes.
Following his tenure with the Spurs, Coach Kuhl took on the role of assistant coach at the Air Force Academy, where he helped enhance the program's competitiveness. He has also held coaching positions at Texas Tech University and Iona University, further expanding his expertise and understanding of the game from some of the collegiate level’s best coaches.
Since 2022, Coach Kuhl has served as the varsity boys head coach at The Masters School, leading the team to its first playoff appearance in seven years during the 2023-24 season. Coach Kuhl is particularly proud of the program's recent success in placing players in college basketball programs for two consecutive years, reflecting his commitment to player development and mentoring.
With a passion for the game and a focus on fostering talent, Coach Kuhl continues to inspire and elevate young athletes, preparing them for challenges both on and off the court.
