The Center for Inclusive Excellence at The Masters School works in partnership with every member of our community to help us fully live our mission. To be a power for good in the world, we must learn to lead with values, to understand ourselves deeply, and to recognize and support leaders who embody those values. It also calls us to reflect on how well we are prepared to be good neighbors and collaborative partners. And to do any of this successfully, we must prioritize the health and well-being of all our students.
Through programs in Purposeful Engagement and Ethical Leadership, students learn to lead with values, serve with empathy, and make thoughtful choices. Our health program supports personal growth, while identity and belonging seminars ensure every student feels seen. These priorities are woven throughout the student journey beginning in middle schoolers with wellness classes and continuing through the upper school with ninth graders engaging in a year-long seminar that covers all four priorities. Older students pursue electives in leadership. Beyond the classroom, more than 15 student groups—from Mental Health at Masters to Latinos Unidos, Q+, Onyx, Jewish Culture Club, and MISH—provide opportunities for connection, advocacy, and service. Together, these efforts create a vibrant and inclusive community where students of all backgrounds can thrive and lead with integrity in an interconnected world.
