The Writing Center is a peer-to-peer writing resource available to all students.
Supervised by two faculty members, the Writing Center tutoring staff is comprised of some 45 juniors and seniors, including a cohort of experienced lead tutors. These Masters students engage in extensive training and can support their peers with writing assigned in all subjects and at all stages of the writing process.

As students themselves, peer tutors have grappled with lab reports for science classes, world history research papers, and English essays. They can offer their peers empathy as well as guidance. Peer tutors are especially skilled at listening closely, asking thoughtful questions, and supporting the writer's own hopes and vision for their work.

The Writing Center offers individual sessions — both by appointment and drop-in. In the Upper School, sessions are available throughout the school day and during evening study hall hours. In the Middle School, sessions are available on specific days before class and after school.
